Project Linus takes its name from the character created by Charles Schultz in the Peanuts comic strip. It distributes blankets and hats to about a dozen agencies and hospitals throughout the Coachella Valley. These handcrafted items are then given to newborns and children who have been traumatized by premature birth, abuse, neglect, etc. BZBs makes frequent blanket and hat donations to Project Linus, often more than 500 blankets a year in all sizes. Each one has a hand sewn label attached like the one pictured here.
